The announcement for the recruitment of various
position in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has been made.
This recruitment is for the Combined Civil Services Examination (CSSE-II) which
includes Group II and IIA Services. The available positions include Assistants,
Revenue Assistants, Senior Inspectors, Assistant Inspectors, Foresters, Deputy
Commercial Tax Officers, and more. Interested candidates can apply for TNPSC
Group 2 through the TNPSC Exams portal at apply.tnpscexams.in starting from 20th
June of 2024. The last date to register

There are a total of 507 vacancies available for
various positions including Assistant Inspector, Deputy Commercial Tax Officer,
Junior Employment Officer ,Probation Officer, Sub Registrar Grade-II, Special Assistant

Officer cum Programmer, and Forester roles.
Group-IIA:
There are a total of 1820 job openings available for
various positions such as Personal Assistant to Chairman and Managing Director,
Full Time Residential Warden, Senior Inspector, Audit Inspector, Assistant Inspector,
Handloom Inspector, Supervisor / Junior Superintendent, Assistants, Revenue

Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for TNPSC Group-2 are as follows---
A). Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s or
Master’s Degree from a university
recognized by UGC.
B). They should also have sufficient knowledge in
Tamil. This can be demonstrated by either having Tamil as one of the languages
studied in high school, passing the SSLC examination or its equivalent in Tamil
medium, or clearing the Second Class Language Test in Tamil conducted by the
TNPSC.

Selection Process:
The selection process for TNPSC Group-2 includes a
Common Preliminary Examination for CCCSE-II, which is for both Group-2 and
Group-2A candidates. After passing the preliminary exam, candidates move on to
the Main Examination , which is also for both Group-2 and Group-2A. Finally,
there is a Documents Verification stage to ensure all necessary paperwork is in
order.
Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern for the TNPSC Group-2 Preliminary
Exam consists of three main sections. The first section is General Studies,
which includes 75 questions. The second section is Aptitude and Mental Ability,
which consists of 25 question. The third section is Language, where you can
choose between General Tamil or General English, and this section has 100
questions. In total, the exam has 200 questions, and it is worth 300marks.
How to Apply:
To apply for the TNPSC Group-2 Recruitment 2024,
eligible candidates need to follow a few steps. Firstly, visit the TNPSC Exams
Portal (tnpscexams.in) and apply online starting from 20th June of
2024. Before that make sure to complete the “One Time Registration,” which
remains valid for five years from the date of registration. It is important to
have a scanned image of your photograph and the required certificates ready for
submission. Lastly, remember that the last date for online application
registration is19/07/2024, until 11:59PM.
