Selection Process:
The recruitment process for SSC CGL 2024 includes two
tier of examinations, namely Tier I and Tier II. These exams are conducted in a
computer-based format.
Tier I , is considered a qualifying examination where
candidates are assessed on their proficiency in subjects relevant to the posts
they have applied for.
Candidates who score above the specified cut-off marks
in Tier I move on to the nest stage of the selection process.
Tier II, examination is the next step for candidates
who have been shortlisted from Tier I.
Depending on the Posts applied for, Tier II may
consist of multiple paper. Paper-I is compulsory for all candidates, while
Paper-II and Paper-III are specific to certain posts.
Each paper has its own cut-off marks, and candidates
must clear these cut- offs to qualify for further stages.
Tier III examination is conducted for candidates who
have successfully cleared Tier II.
This stage usually involves a descriptive paper or a
skill test, Depending on the nature of the posts.
The final selection is based on the overall
performance of candidates in Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III examinations.
Note:-The first two tiers are computer based
examinations, while the third tier is a pen and paper mode descriptive paper.
The fourth tier includes a computer proficiency test, skill test(if
applicable), and document verification.
Application Fees:
General (UR) and OBC category candidates are required
to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- only. This fee can be paid through various methods
such as SBI Challan, SBI Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, or Maestro
Credit or Debit Cards.
However there is no fee applicable for SC, ST,
Ex-Servicemen, and Women candidates.
Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern for the SSC CGL 2024 Tier-I includes
four subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness,
Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each subject has 25 questions
and a maximum of 50marks.
Moving on to the SSC CGL 2024 Tier-II exam pattern,
there are three papers to be attempted. Paper-I covers Mathematics Abilities,
Reasoning and General Intelligence, English, General Awareness, and Computer
Knowledge with 150 questions and 450 maximum marks.
Paper-II focuses on Statistics with 100 questions and
a maximum of 200 marks, while Paper-III is dedicated to General Studies with
100 questions and 200 maximum marks.
How to Apply:
Interested graduates who meet the eligibility criteria
can apply online through the SSC Online Portal at ssc.gov.in. To complete the
application process, candidates need to provide their basic details and
qualification information.
As part of the application , candidates are requited
to upload scanned copies of their recent photograph , signature, and
educational qualification documents/certificates. The photograph should be in
JPEG format and have a file size between 20kb and 50kb. It should also be taken
within the last three months from the date of the Notice of Examination
Publication.
The deadline for submitting online application is
24/07/2024 untill11:00PM IST. Make sure to complete the application process
before this date and time.
