The Directorate General Fire Service (DGFS) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is seeking talented and dedicated candidates to join National Fire Service College(NFSC)! DGFS fire safety available posts:

👉1. Deputy Director (3 Posts):  

Lead and oversee fire safety operations within a designated region. Responsibilities may include managing fire stations, developing fire safety plans, coordinating with local authorities, and ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations. These post will be filled in the college of " National Fire Service Colleges" in Nagpur.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Age limit: Likely between 30-50 years (to be confirmed in the official notification). Age relaxation for reserved categories like Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) may apply.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering or in other science degree to the related field (e.g., Civil Engineering)
  • Experience: Extensive experience in fire safety management, preferably in a government  organization or minimum 5 years in relevant fields .

Salary: As a Deputy Director, you can expect a competitive compensation package that includes basic salary, allowances, and benefits like medical insurance and provident fund. Selected candidate will get a salary of pay level 11 as per govt. rules ( Rs.67700/- - Rs.208700/-). The exact pay will depend on your previous service record and pay scale within the government system.

👉2. Chief Instructor (1 Post): 

Play a vital role in shaping future fire safety professionals. Duties may involve developing and delivering fire safety training programs, mentoring instructors, and staying updated on the latest firefighting techniques and technologies. These post will be filled in the college of " National Fire Colleges" in Nagpur.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Age limit: Likely between 30-50 years (to be confirmed in the official notification). Age relaxation for reserved categories may apply.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in Fire Engineering or a related field (e.g., Safety Science) with experience in fire safety training and instruction.
  • Experience: Proven experience in delivering fire safety training programs and a strong understanding of adult learning principles is essential.

Salary: Similar to Deputy Director, the salary for Chief Instructor will depend on your previous service record and pay scale within the government system. Selected candidate will get a salary of pay level 7 as per govt. rules ( Rs.44900/- - Rs.142400/-). You can expect a competitive package with basic salary, allowances, and benefits. 

👉 3. Senior Instructor (2 Posts): 

 Contribute to delivering high-quality fire safety training programs. Responsibilities may include instructing on various firefighting techniques, conducting practical exercises, and evaluating trainees' performance.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Age limit: Likely between 25-45 years (to be confirmed in the official notification). Age relaxation for reserved categories may apply.
  • Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any Engineering or a related field (e.g., Science)
  • Experience: Minimum six years of Experience in fire-fighting operations and a passion for training others and two years on teaching are crucial for this role.

Salary: The salary for Senior Instructor will depend on your previous service record and pay scale within the government system. Selected candidate will get a salary of pay level 6 as per govt. rules ( Rs.35700/- - Rs.112400/-). You can expect a competitive package with basic salary, allowances, and benefits.

👉 4. Laboratory Technician (Grade-I) (6 Posts): 

Provide critical support in fire investigation and analysis. Tasks may involve conducting laboratory tests on fire debris, analyzing fire patterns, and preparing reports to assist fire investigators.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Age limit: Likely between 18-30 years (to be confirmed in the official notification). Age relaxation for reserved categories may apply.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics, chemistry and Mathematics, and have good knowledge on Chemistry or Forensics.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of Experience in Teaching / Training, / Quality Control / Testing/ Handling of laboratory work and a keen eye for detail are desirable.

Salary: As a Laboratory Technician, your salary will depend on your previous service record and pay scale within the government system. Selected candidate will get a salary of pay level 7 as per govt. rules ( Rs.44900/- - Rs.142400/-).

Important Note: 

 Remember, these positions are being filled through deputation, meaning they are open to qualified government employees from other departments. These post will be filled in the college of " National Fire Services College(NFSC)" in Nagpur. All these posts will be filled separately, in offline mode only.
