UPSC Recruitment for various post of 2024, Advertisement NO.09/2024
The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) has released
Advertisement NO.09/2024 for the recruitment of various positions in different
departments, ministries, and institutes of the Government of India. Interested
and eligible candidates can apply for these positions through the UPSC Online
Recruitment Application (ORA) Portal upsconline.nic.in starting from 11th
May 2024. The last date for registration of online applications for UPSC Advt.
no.09/2024 is 30th May 2024. There are a total of 83 vacancies available
for the post of Professor, Assistant Professor, Training Officer, Assistant
Research Officer, Assistant Mining Engineer, Factory Manager, Scientific
Officer, Marketing Officer, Test Engineer, and Assistant Commissioner.

Eligibility:
Qualification:
Assistant Commissioner(Cooperation/Credit):
Must have a Masters Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural
Economics, Economics, Commerce, or Statistics, along with at least five years
of experience in cooperation or credit within a Government or recognized
cooperative/credit organization.
Age: Cooperation/Credit Assistant Commissioner 40yeaears for General category.
Test Engineer:
Agricultural Engineer Must have a degree in
Agricultural Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in testing and
evaluating agricultural machinery from a Government organization, university or
private listed organization.
Age: Test Engineer35 years for General category.
Marketing Officer(Group-1):
A Masters degree in Agriculture is required for this
position. The degree should include one or more disciplines such as
Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Marketing and
Cooperation, Agricultural Extension Education, Agricultural Statistics,
Agricultural Communication, Agri-business, Agricultural Engineering, Post
Harvest Technology, Food Science Technology, Food Processing, Post Harvest
Management, Cold Chain Logistics, Horticulture, or a Masters Degree with
Botany, Economics, Commerce with Economics, Math’s, Statistics, or Business
Administration. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 02 years of
relevant experience.
Age: Marketing Officer(Group-1)30years for URS/EWSs,
33years for OBCs, 35 years for SCs/STs, and40years for PwBDs.
Mechanical Scientific Officer:
Must have a
Masters Degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgy. Also, need at
least one year of experience in a Mechanical testing Laboratory or Research and
Development in a related field.
Age: Scientific Officer(Mechanical)-35years for
General category.
Factory Manager:
Holds a Masters degree in either Microbiology or
Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Has 1 year of experience in manufacturing and testing
biological products for human use.
Age: Factory Manager 35years for General category.
Assistant Mining Engineer :
Position requires a Bachelors degree in Mining
Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology ) and at least 2
years of related work experience.
Age: Assistant Mining Engineer 30years for URs, 35
years for SCs/STs, and 40 years for PwBDs.
Assistant Research Officer:
Must have a
Masters Degree in Ore Dressing, Mineral Processing, Geology, Physics, or Chemistry. Alternatively, a Bachelor of
Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mineral Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
or Metallurgy is also acceptable. Additionally, a minimum of 2years of relevant
experience is required.
Age: Assistant Research Officer 30years for URs/EWSs,
33years for OBCs, and 35 years for SCs/STs.
Training Officer position:
Education requirement includes a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or
Technology(B.E./B.Tech) or a Diploma in Engineering or Technology.
Age:
Training Officer 30years for General category, 35
years for SCs/STs
Professor:
Must have a
Ph.D. degree and achieved a 1st class either at the Bachelors or
Masters level in a relevant discipline. Additionally, a Masters degree in the
relevant field is required. The candidate should have published at least 6
research papers in SCI journals or in journals approved by UGC/AICTE. A minimum
of 10 years of experience in teaching research or industry is necessary with at
least 3years at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
Age: Professor 50years for General category.
Associate Professor:
Ph.D. and Masters Degree in related field. Must have
published at least 6 research papers in recognized journals. A minimum of 8
years of experience in Teaching, Research, or Industry, with at least 2 years
post Ph.D. experience.
Age: Associate Professor 50years for General category.
Assistant Professor:
Candidates must
have a B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or integrated M. Tech. in
Civil/ Computer Science and Engineering with first class in one of the degrees.
Age: Assistant Professor 35 years for General category,
38years for OBCs.
Selection Process:
Candidates for UPSC are chosen through interviews. In
case of a large number of applications, a written exam will be held by the UPSC
Commission to select candidates for the interview. Shortlisted candidates must
bring a printout of their online application and other documents to the UPSC on
the interview date which will be notified separately.
How to Apply:
To apply for the UPSC Vacancy 2024, candidates must
use only the UPSC Online Portal. Eligible candidates need to apply online
through the UPSC Online Application Portal (upsconline.nic.in) starting from 11th May, 2024.
Candidates should upload digital copies of the
required documents/certifications to support their claims, such as Date of
Birth, Experience(preferably in the prescribed format), Desirable Qualifications,
etc. If applying for multiple posts, separate applications for each post must
be submitted along with the appropriate fee payment.
After submitting the Online Recruitment
Application(ORA), candidates must obtain a printout of the final submission. It
is important to keep the email addresses and mobile numbers active throughout
the recruitment process. The deadline for printing fully submitted online
applications is 30/05/2024,by 23:59
hours.
Applying fee:
To complete the application process, male candidates
belonging to the General/OBC/EWS category are required to pay a fee of Rs.25/-.
This fee can be paid at any SBI branch , through net banking or by using
visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI. However, it is important to note that
Female /SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from paying
any fee. It is crucial to submit the application with the prescribed fee as
application submitted with out the fee will be rejected. It is also important
to understand that once the fee is paid, it cannot be refunded or reserved for
any other examination or selection process.
